Marco Barneveld

Founder of WideOyster Media, Marco is global editor-in-chief at WideOyster Magazine and creative director at WideOyster Creative. As an adventurer and explorer, writer, speaker and tourism consultant – for (amongst others) GIZ, CBI and USAID – he combines creativity with commercial thinking: journalism, global PR, advertising, brand and magazine creation -and managing and creative direction are a few of the skills he collected during his 25+ years career. His travel stories have been published in more than twenty countries in NatGeo, Newsweek, Lonely Planet Traveler, Terra, Globetrotter, Sidetracked. He's also super nice and makes a perfect dinner guest.
