I really like what the folks at Outdoorsy are doing … and the data shared below is so promising for mother nature … The more people outside nurturing their relationship with nature, the better. When we care, we act! “RVing and camping are exploding in popularity. I often dream of such a utopia, an existence that honors our interconnectedness and gives us all an opportunity to thrive and be our best version of ourselves. I think and hope this is the future...What Is Basic Income and How Does It Support Well-Being? “Research suggests that providing everyone with money to live could reduce poverty and inequality, and help people make better life choices.”

I want to give a quick nod to the remarkable, Joe Pine, the author of the game changing book, “The Experience Economy.” When I was just getting the TTC off the ground, I reached out to Joe, who is kind of a big deal, and I shared what we were doing at the TTC. He agreed to meet me in the Bay Area for a talk that he was giving at The Walt Disney Family Museum in San Francisco. While he doesn’t remember every detail of that conversation like I do, he obviously respected me and the work we’re doing enough to continue to connect and guide me by phone, and eventually, he became one of our TTC Advisors. He also gave the first opening keynote address at our inaugural Transcend annual gathering in 2020, the video recording is still part of our Transformational Travel Design Program.

Last year, he asked me to participate in an opportunity to lead, define and measure the emerging transformation economy, including giving the TTC an opportunity to form a tourism specific roundtable to partake in this inaugural study, led by Joe and Stone Mantel. The last year, I’ve got to know Joe very well, and I now feel that I’ve got a true friend and lifetime mentor in him.
