An Invitation to Lead a New Tourism

The Transformational Travel Council (TTC) Ambassador Program is a purpose-driven global community of changemakers in travel and related industries that are dedicated from the inside out to expanding transformative tourism and regenerative community development.

This program is designed to empower leaders within the TTC global ecosystem to cultivate a sense of purpose, knowledge, skills, and networks to drive positive change within their organizations, other organizations in their communities, and beyond.

The TTC Ambassadors are 25 individuals who are locally and globally recognized subject matter experts that actively support and represent the TTC.  They amplify our values and mission by engaging with potential partners, their communities and by acting as our advocates to increase global awareness of the “New Tourism” we invite you to be co-creating with us.

Purpose

We continue to gain traction globally, yet recognize the imperative of this moment and our limited capacity, knowledge and bandwidth, and the need to stretch across time zones, reduce carbon-emissions, we have identified a clear need for the TTC Ambassador Program. This program will draw on the rich insights, experiences, and access from hubs and networks around the world, creating a flexible structure and global eco-system that can be adapted and applied in various formats and contexts.

Participants in this pilot Ambassador Program will have the unique opportunity to connect with fellow Ambassadors and directly with the TTC leadership on an ongoing and consistent basis. The goal will be to collaborate, develop strategies, refine narratives, co-create compelling communication strategies, and strengthen the overall impact of the transformative tourism and regenerative tourism movement. 

Responsibilities as an Ambassador

• Opportunity to represent the TTC at relevant local and national events

• Host events and receptions to build awareness and community connection for the TTC

• Provide strategic introductions and connections for TTC membership, public and private trainings, and travel experiences 

Ambassador Term: 36 months

 Incentives: 50% discounts on membership and public courses and 10% off experiences and retreats

Engagement: 

• Quarterly meeting

  • Jan 15, Apr 16, Jul 16, Nov 19) 3rd Wednesday of the month, 90 min, 7a PST

• Mandatory Attendance at one of these

• Andean Immersive | Experience Development Training - Feb 24-28, 2025

• Wisdom Retreat for New Tourism - Nov 2025 in the USA (view last year’s event)

• Six -week virtual Experience Development Training

  • Apply for Equitable Pricing opportunities (for the virtual training only)

• Identify five qualified leads or referrals per year who are interested in engaging with the TTC
