Our programs and consulting work is based on regenerative leadership and design principles and practices. We help communities develop their destination vision and narrative, design regenerative destination strategic plans, create communities of purpose as deep leverage points for change, and facilitate region-wide next generation experience development and training. We also conduct tourism leader stewardship training.

Destination Stewardship Leader Training

Stepping towards transformational leadership

Purpose: The purpose of the Destination Stewardship Leader Training micro-course is to equip busy leaders in tourism with destination stewardship, regenerative tourism development, regenerative leadership and next generation experience design fundamentals and principles, to lead the destination into the future and help it thrive. The program design is customized to the needs of the destination and community, and can include in-person and online components.


Tourism leadership throughout the destination will have the knowledge and understanding of what skills, principles and practices to develop and employ to lead their organizations and destinations toward thriving futures. Ultimately, tourism leaders will have a solid understanding of what it takes to become destination stewards, and the motivation to take action.

Outcomes

  • Tourism leadership equipped with the knowledge and understanding of next-generation tourism development to steward the destination forward

  • Regenerative tourism leadership coaching workshops. Workshop formats customized, including online and in-person formats, and total 10 training hours over the course of 4-6 weeks.

  • Your destination and leadership is recognized as one that prioritizes stewardship and resiliency

 

Destination Regeneration 

A thriving future for your destination

Purpose: Regenerative development takes a whole systems approach to tourism development and management, to tackle deeply rooted problems and create the conditions for the destination - its residents, visitors, ecosystems and tourism industry - to thrive. Taking a regenerative leadership and development approach shepherds your destination beyond sustainability and wellness to achieve net positive benefits in the short, medium and long term.

This program delivers an in-depth destination assessment, community unification, transformative education, contemporary travel experience strategies, the development of a living-stewardship action plan, and the integration of regenerative development principles that guide your strategy and decision-making forward. The addition of a train the trainer component allows for legacy capacity building to enable mid-term and long-term positive impact. Finally, participation in this innovative program generates earned media, market differentiation among target audiences and as a result, increased competitiveness.

Transformative Travel Design Program - Destination Model 

Co-creating next generation experiences and products for a thriving destination 

Purpose: We convene a diverse group of your destination’s tourism stakeholders including operators, guides, hoteliers, attractions, partners, etc. and take them through an interactive learning process to level up their experience strategy, products, experiences and delivery. Participants will receive the training and tools needed to develop world-class transformational travel experiences. The customizable process involves in-person workshops, the provision of tools and online training sessions. The net result will be a portfolio of market-driven experiences that improve the visitor experience and the resident quality of life.

This results in an elevated destination specific experience strategy and market-ready transformational experiences, co-created by your stakeholders. Through the process your community is more aligned and connected, and knows how to develop and deliver exceptional experiences that set your destination apart, and attract the valuable and loyal visitors who stay longer, spend more and care about your destination. This increases tourism’s value for the visitor, your stakeholders, your community and the destination as a whole.

Destination Connection

Through a transformational process, we create a united community of stakeholders with shared goals, values and vision.

Purpose: We work with you from the ground up to foster a close-knit group of tourism stakeholders and community members. First we gather a diverse cohort of your destinations’ core tourism stakeholders to participate in the program. This cohort will be led through a transformational process to cultivate the skills and qualities required for lasting connection and change. The process unpacks participant’s inner development skills, and uncovers shared values, vision and goals. Throughout the process the cohort learns basic regenerative development tools and practices

The process enhances unity in the destination and as necessary addresses any discord that exists. The result is a Community of Purpose - a core group of aligned and informed stakeholders who will advocate for ensuring tourism contributes rather than diminishes local livelihoods and well-being. This generates increased buy-in and implementation support from community members and improves community and cultural cohesion. Taking this approach before moving into a strategic or action planning process saves time and fosters shared ownership and accountability. All this leads to strengthening the long-term resilience of economic, social and environmental systems in the face of change ahead.
