About Up Norway

Up Norway is Norway's number one travel curator that provides authentic experiences to discerning global travelers. Our local expertise, sustainable approach, digital itineraries, and passion for Norway provide a journey like no other. By delivering a new era of experiences we provide travelers with a desired escape from everyday life.

About Torunn Tronsvang

In 2016, I set out to create a company designed to fulfill the most thoughtful travelers’ interest in experiences off the beaten path – and closer to heart in terms of authenticity, involvement, and connection. I hoped to do so while creating better practices in ecotourism and responsible social impact. And in fact, the more I looked at the challenges of traveling in responsible ways, the more I realized those I hoped to serve were already passionate about being part of a culture of global solutions. And to my delight, it was clear that many of those answers could be found and exemplified in our Norwegian lifestyle.

About Henriette Bendiksen

After being rescued from Booking.com, Henriette has been fully dedicated to Up Norway’s travelers since 2017 in the role of Master of Journeys. She knows where to find Norway's most charming places to stay, and how to get the most out of every destination.

Torunn & Henriette’s Capstone Project

Name: Recipe for Transformative Up Norway journeys

Description:

The purpose of our capstone project is to Make a Recipe for Transformative Up Norway journeys. We plan to do this in the following steps:

1. Henriette and I have summarized our learning and considered what we believe is most relevant to us and what principles we want to incorporate in our Up Norway journeys

2. We have done an internal training session with our team where we invited them to reflect on our suggestions and give feedback. We have also invited all team members for field studies in January and February with the goal of being able to utilize new learning in practice and share thoughts and reflections.

3. Everyone will present their findings in a new session on March 2nd, after which we will sum up and have the 'recipe' ready by March 15th.
