Introduction to the Future of Experience Design

Our widely recognized definition of transformational travel—“intentionally traveling to stretch, learn, and grow into new ways of being and engaging with the world”—offers an accessible framework that can resonate with broad audiences. This focus on personal evolution through intentional and conscious travel experiences aligns with TTC’s mission to promote the practice of transformative tourism in ways that are easily grasped and implemented by travel designers, hotels, destinations, attractions, and guides.

As consumer preferences evolve, the industry is adapting by enhancing amenities and customer service, aligning with the Service Economy. With the rise of the Experience Economy, the focus shifted to delivering memorable, authentic experiences. Now the industry is transitioning towards creating transformative travel experiences aimed at fostering personal growth, self-awareness, and lasting impact on travelers' lives and the people and places they visit.

    • Select partner hotels, lodges, retreat centers, destinations (cooperatively marketed)

  • On private request …

    • Invite community stakeholders, leadership, team, and/or guides (onsite or virtual)

    • Select hotels, retreat centers, and destinations can host, market and invite a target audience, media, buyers, local community or select operators, guides and attractions

      • The per person rate can be fully hosted or subsidized by the host hotel or destination

      • Designed exclusively for your audience, purpose, and strategic goals

      • Can be cooperatively marketed by the the host, TTC, and host community

    • Invite Jake, Jillian or Sonia to facilitate a traveler specific workshop as a special guest of your retreat, inn or lodge
