Please use Time Zone Converter Tool to check he meeting time in your region

This Lighthouse focuses on the challenge of reporting about travel with intent, respect, and integrity.

Although this isn’t a place to pitch ideas, the Lighthouse is a place for travel operators and tourism professionals to communicate with journalists and travel-writing colleagues.

The Lighthouse will feature:

Space for conversations about covering travel with Heralds as the experts:

  • What does “Respectful” coverage mean?

  • What’s a travel reporter’s responsibility to destinations they cover?

  • The relationship between journalists and tourism organizations.

  • Collaborations between journalists and tourism operators.

  • How can journalists work better with locals and destinations?

  • Press Trips

  • Promotion and Journalism

  • The Herald mentorship

Who Is It For?

Open to the entire TTC community, the conversation is meant as a space for journalists to brainstorm, and a time for Allies to learn about the process of covering stories.
